2026 Agenda 📆

:bookmark: ITT I am documenting the overarching goals and objectives of eom.dev for the upcoming year and providing regular updates on those goals. Readers can use this thread to stay updated on the platform’s latest developments and are invited to ask questions or offer suggestions in the subsequent discussion. This thread will be closed at the end of the year.

Planning

I spent much of the previous year developing this platform and a content creation workflow utilizing it. In the upcoming year, I want to turn my attention from developing the platform itself to utilizing it in more interesting ways.

Music

I am planning to focus more on music in the upcoming year. To start, I intend to develop a set list and live stream some practice sessions.

Further, I would like to learn more about live coding with Tidal Cycles. I have this application installed on both my Dell Tower Plus Desktop and Latitude 7230 Rugged Extreme Tablet, which allows me to practice and perform both at home and potentially in public venues.

I am also interested in hosting live jam sessions using Jamulus. While these sessions will be open to the internet, latency will likely necessitate participants be in relative proximity to Raleigh, NC. Otherwise, listeners will be able to enjoy the performances on Owncast. Calendar events for these jam sessions will also be published on the Owncast calendar.

Travel

I am looking for opportunities to perform Music and network with other musicians in my hometown of Raleigh, NC.

I would like to visit the Appalachain mountains this year, potentially for the same purpose.

And, of course, the Outer Banks as well. I typically plan these trips for the solstice or equinox for each season. Again, see the Owncast calendar for details.

I would like to plan something outside of North Carolina as well; however, I have no solid plans for that at this time.

Projects

The main project I intend to continue in the new year is going to be daytrading on the Kraken cryptocurrency exchange. Having recently developed a somewhat profitable strategy, I am inclined to continue experimenting with the platform.

That said, the goal in shifting focus from building the platform to improving my usage of it is to demonstrate a self-hosted platform for content creators, so this will be of secondary importance.

Naturally, I will still need to maintain the platform throughout the year. I would also be interested in helping others set up a similar platform for themselves. Should you be interested in this, you can schedule a free 30 minute consultation to discuss your project.

I am highly likely to pick up miscellaneous side projects as well insofar as it suits my interests.

Gaming

I enjoy video games, but I have limited time and attention for them. As I have been repeating, my point in hosting them here is more to demonstrate the capabilities of a self-hosted platform for content creators. That said, I do have some plans for games in the new year. First of all, we will be starting Season III of the Luanti server on January 5, 2026. This has been the most popular thing on this platform thus far, so I am planning to make an effort to give it more attention and be in-game regularly in the upcoming year.

Also, @ThisNurseKills and I have decided to stream The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind Tuesday nights on Owncast.

I also plan to host a few events for SuperTuxKart and Red Eclipse, but I have not added those to the calendar yet.

I may play some other games throughout the year, and I am open to adding new ones to the regular lineup should I find one I like; however, doing so will be at my discretion.
