ITT I review the Zoom H8 digital multi-track audio recorder and document configurations used for integrating the camera into an open source ecosystem. Readers are invited to ask questions about the camera or offer tips as to how I may better use its features. This thread will be updated over time as I come to better understand the device.

About
The Zoom H8 digital multitrack recorder is used as an audio interface for both the Dell Tower Plus and Latitude 7230 Rugged Extreme. While it has many features allowing it to function as a standalone device, I almost exclusively use it in the dedicated audio interface mode so that it is integrated with my existing platform.
This audio recorder is used in tandem with the Canon EOS R6 Mark II mirrorless camera. Together they provide high-definition audio and video to both devices.
